Vermont's smallest research campus
Kettleridge has taught in Montpelier since 1889 and now enrolls about 3,900 undergraduates and 1,100 graduate students on 340 acres. We are accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education. Faculty teach their own courses, including introductory ones, and every undergraduate finishes with a thesis or capstone project.

Admissions and cost questions
What are your application deadlines?
Early action closes November 15 with decisions by December 20. Regular decision closes January 15 with decisions in late March. We also accept rolling transfer applications through July 1 for the fall term.
Do you require SAT or ACT scores?
No. Kettleridge has been test optional since 2019 and roughly half of admitted students apply without scores. If you submit them we will consider them, and not submitting them does not affect your aid eligibility.
What does it actually cost after aid?
Tuition and fees are $48,600 for 2026 to 2027, plus about $15,800 for room and board. About 71 percent of undergraduates receive need-based aid, and the median net price for those students last year was $23,400. Run our net price calculator for an estimate specific to your family.
Can I visit campus?
Yes. We run daily student-led tours at 10am and 2pm during the academic year, plus overnight visits for admitted students in April. Register online at least 48 hours ahead so we can match you with a student host in your field.
