An independent practice since 2003
Riverbend was founded in 2003 and remains physician owned, with six board certified urologists and two nurse practitioners. All of our physicians are certified by the American Board of Urology and hold privileges at Saint Alphonsus and St. Luke's. We keep imaging and most procedures in-house so your diagnosis and your plan happen in the same building.

Appointments and insurance
Do I need a referral to be seen?
It depends on your plan. Most PPO plans let you schedule directly with us, while HMO and some Medicare Advantage plans require a referral from your primary care physician. Call our front desk with your insurance card and we will check before you book.
How soon can I be seen for a kidney stone?
We hold same-week slots for acute stone pain. If you are in severe pain, cannot keep fluids down, or have a fever, go to the emergency department first, then call us and we will arrange follow-up. Bring any imaging you have already had done.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Your insurance card and photo ID, a current list of medications and doses, any imaging discs or reports from other facilities, and recent lab work if you have it. Arrive 15 minutes early or complete your forms in the patient portal beforehand.
Is a vasectomy reversible?
You should plan a vasectomy as permanent. Reversal is a separate operation, it is more involved, it is often not covered by insurance, and success is not guaranteed. Our physicians will discuss this in detail at your consultation before anything is scheduled.
