How we think

We test before anyone falls in love with a screen

Quiet Signal works mostly on software that people use for eight hours a day: dispatch consoles, clinical systems, underwriting tools. That work rewards patience and research over visual novelty. We recruit your real users, watch them struggle, and design the fix around what actually blocked them.

•Participant recruiting and incentives handled by us
•Every recommendation cites the sessions it came from
•Designs delivered with engineering handoff notes and states

What product teams say

“Watching eight of our customers fail the same step was more persuasive than two years of my arguing for it internally.”

Priyanka R., Head of product, insurtech

“Support tickets on our billing screen dropped by half in the quarter after the redesign shipped.”

Colin S., Engineering manager

“The design system finally stopped our three squads from building three different date pickers.”

FAQ

Questions about UX work

How many users do you need to test with?

Five to eight participants per user type surfaces the large majority of usability problems in a given flow. If you have distinct roles, such as admins and end users, we test each separately rather than mixing them.

Can you find participants if we cannot?

Yes. We recruit and screen from panels and from targeted outreach, and we manage scheduling and incentives. Testing with your own customers is better when possible, and we will help you ask them.

Do you write front end code?

We do not build production applications. We deliver design files, specifications, states and, for design systems, coded reference components. Your engineers implement, and we review the built result against the design.

How is this different from just hiring a designer?

A designer produces screens. Our starting point is evidence about how people fail with what you already have, so the screens address a documented problem rather than a preference. If you already have that evidence, hiring in house may serve you better.
