About our team
Half designers, half riggers
Lucia Trujillo started Vane & Veil in 2016 after a decade doing theatrical scenic work, which is why our team can actually hang heavy things safely. We own our inventory rather than subrenting it, about 3,400 pieces in the Pacheco Street warehouse, so what you see at the mockup is what shows up. We cap ourselves at 45 weddings a year.

FAQ
Decor planning questions
How is decor different from what our florist does?
Florists handle fresh flowers. We handle everything the flowers sit on and hang from: linens, candles, draping, lighting, structures, signage and lounge furniture. We work alongside your florist and coordinate the install order directly with them.
What should we budget?
Most Santa Fe weddings we take on spend $4,500 to $14,000 on decor. Tablescapes and candlelight are the efficient part of that budget. Draping, ceiling installs and lighting are what move the number, because they are labor and rigging heavy.
Do you offer a mockup before the wedding?
Yes, and we recommend it for any package over $5,000. We set one full table with your exact linen, vessels and candles in the studio about eight weeks out and photograph it. Changes made at the mockup cost nothing.
What if the venue is outdoors and the wind picks up?
This is Santa Fe, so we plan for it. Structures are weighted or staked to hold in 35 mph gusts, hanging installs get secondary safety lines, and candle vessels are hurricane style rather than open flame. We carry a wind contingency layout for every outdoor wedding.
