What you get, from elopement to full ceremony
Every option includes writing, one rehearsal call, and filing your marriage license with the county.
Elopement package
For six guests or fewer, anywhere within an hour of Denver. Includes two witnesses if you need them.
Mountain and destination weddings
Travel is billed at cost past 60 miles, with lodging added for ceremonies past two hours out.
Rehearsal attendance
I run the processional order and cue your party so nobody guesses on the day.
Vow renewal
Written around the years since, not a repeat of the first ceremony.

Eleven years, and still one wedding a weekend
I officiated my first wedding for two friends in a Boulder backyard in 2014 and never went back to my old job. I take one wedding per weekend so that yours is not squeezed between two others. I am ordained and registered to solemnize marriages throughout Colorado.

FAQ
What couples ask me first
Do we need witnesses in Colorado?
No. Colorado does not require witnesses, and it is one of the few states where a couple may even self solemnize. If you want witnesses on the certificate for sentimental reasons, any two adults present can sign.
Who handles the marriage license?
You pick the license up from any Colorado county clerk before the wedding, and bring it on the day. I complete and file it with the county the next business day, then email you a confirmation and tell you how to order certified copies.
Can we include a reading, a unity ritual, or family members?
Yes to all three. Handfasting, sand, wine boxes, a grandparent reading, a friend giving a blessing, we build those into the flow during the planning meeting and I cue the people involved at the rehearsal.
How long is a typical ceremony?
Around eighteen minutes for a full ceremony and eight for an elopement. If you have several readings or rituals it can run to twenty five. I will tell you the honest runtime once the draft is written so your photographer and caterer can plan.
