How we work
Design first, printing second, never the other way around
Claire Alder trained as a book designer before moving into wedding stationery, and it shows in how the pieces relate to each other. We start with a consultation about the wedding itself, not the paper, and we only take about 45 weddings a year so nothing gets rushed at the printer.

FAQ
Working with a stationery designer
When should we book you?
Nine to twelve months before the wedding is ideal, because save the dates go out eight months ahead and design takes six to eight weeks before printing starts. We can sometimes take shorter timelines with a rush fee.
What is included in the design fee?
Concept development, all layout and artwork, three rounds of proofs, and print coordination with our partners. Printing, paper, envelopes, and postage are quoted separately once quantities are set.
Can you match a specific look I saved?
We use references as a starting point for direction, color, and formality, but we design original work rather than reproduce another designer's piece. Bring us five images you love and we will build something that is yours.
Do you handle mailing?
Yes. We can assemble, stuff, stamp, and hand cancel your invitations at the post office for an assembly fee. Square envelopes and thick suites need extra postage, and we weigh a finished sample before buying stamps.
