Cleaning Business Name Generator

People let cleaners into their homes, so a cleaning business name has to sound trustworthy first and clever second. The generator mixes more than 60 cleaning words (spotless, pristine, linen, clean slate, top to bottom, helping hand) with endings such as Home Cleaning, Maid Service and Property Care, plus your name and service area. The names are made in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to We.Inc; the only network request is the optional domain check, which sends just that one domain to a public DNS resolver when you press Check.

How it works

  1. Type your first name, your town or neighbourhood and a few words that describe your cleaning business (a speciality, a street, a feeling). All are optional.
  2. Pick a style, or leave it on All. Set a maximum length if you already know your sign, van or logo is small.
  3. Press More names for a fresh batch. Each batch is shuffled from the word bank, so you can go back and forth without losing the ones you liked.
  4. Tap the heart on any name to save it. Your shortlist can be copied or downloaded as a text file.
  5. Open a name to see its checklist (length, how easy it is to spell when heard, the obvious web address and handle) and press Check to see whether that .com has DNS records.
  6. See the name on an example design, then turn it into a website brief.

Playful: "Dust Bunny Busters", "Mighty Mop". Memorable on vans; better for residential than commercial.

Specialism first: "Top to Bottom Office Cleaning". Helps you win the work you want.

Home words: "Nest & Haven Cleaning". Warm and homely.

Legal checks for cleaning businesses

A generator cannot tell you whether a name is legally free to use. Before you print anything, search your country's trademark register (in the US, the USPTO trademark search; in the UK, the IPO; in Canada, CIPO) and your state, provincial or local business name registry, and search the name with your town on Google Maps to see who already trades under it. If in doubt, ask a lawyer.

If you plan to franchise or hire teams across several towns, a trademark search matters more: large cleaning franchises actively protect their names.

Tips

Frequently asked questions

What is a good name for a cleaning business?

A name that sounds trustworthy, says what you clean and is easy to remember from a leaflet. "Clean Slate Home Cleaning" or "Maria's Maid Service" works better for most local cleaners than a clever play on words.

Should I put my town in my cleaning company name?

It helps people nearby find and trust you, and it is common for cleaners. The downside is expanding: "Springfield Cleaners" feels odd in the next county. Many owners use the town in the tagline instead.

Is maid service the same as house cleaning?

Customers use both terms. Maid service is more common in the US for recurring home cleaning; house cleaning or domestic cleaning is more common in the UK and elsewhere. Use the one your customers search for.

Is this name generator free?

Yes. There is no signup and no limit. It uses hand-written word lists and patterns, not an online service, so it works instantly and your inputs stay in your browser.

How does the domain check work, and can I trust it?

When you press Check, your browser asks a public DNS resolver (Cloudflare's DNS-over-HTTPS service) whether the .com has name servers. If it does, the domain is almost certainly registered. If it has no records, it might be available, but some registered domains have no DNS set up, so always confirm at a domain registrar before you rely on it. Nothing else is sent and we do not store the lookup.

Do I need insurance before choosing a name?

Insurance is separate from the name, but many insurers, banks and council registrations ask for your trading name, so settle the name first and use it consistently on every document.
