Squarespace launched its AI site builder under the name Blueprint AI. Instead of picking a template and filling it in, you answer a short set of questions: what the business is, which pages you need, and which look and feel you prefer. Squarespace then assembles a site from its own design system, with a color palette, font pairing, page layouts and draft text.

The key point is that Blueprint AI works inside Squarespace's design rules. It picks from sections and styles that Squarespace's designers already made, which is why the output rarely looks broken. It is also why two Blueprint sites for the same kind of business can look similar.

Two things in that table matter more than the headline price. First, 10 AI credits on Basic runs out fast if you lean on the AI for copy edits. Second, the 2% fee on Basic is a real cost for any shop.

Pick a palette and fonts. Blueprint suggests pairings, and you can swap them.
Review the generated site. You get a homepage and the pages you chose, with placeholder images and draft copy.

Five things to check during the 14-day trial

The trial is the only free look you get, so use it deliberately.

Generate twice. Run the AI builder with two different style answers. If both drafts feel close to what you want, the platform suits you. If you keep fighting the layouts, it will not get easier after you pay.
Count your AI credits. Do a normal week of edits with the AI writing tools and watch how many credits you burn. If Basic's 10 credits would not last a week, price the next plan up.
Write your real services page. Replace the draft copy on one page with your actual services, prices and area. That is the work you will do on every page, and it tells you how long the whole site will take.
