Four DJ website designs, compared by what a couple or host needs to do

A couple or event host looking at a DJ wants to know if their date is free, what the package costs, and who will actually turn up. The designs below come from a wedding DJ company, a DJ collective and a live band that is booked for the same events.

How these were picked

One sample DJ site, one catalogue template and one showcase build for DJ businesses, plus one live band sample included because couples compare DJs and bands for the same reception. For each we read the design and noted the first button and how packages are priced. Checked 27 September 2026. Every design here is from the We.Inc library and is labelled as a sample or template. None is a customer site, and no entry claims results.

1. Grand Marquee DJ Co

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A couple who want to meet the DJ who will play their wedding.

Design choice: "The DJ you meet is the DJ at your wedding" with "Check your date" and "See packages". Reception DJ and MC $1,450, Ceremony and reception $1,850, Uplighting package $450. The FAQ opens with "Will we know our DJ before the wedding?" and "Do you MC as well as DJ?".

Limitation: "Check your date" leads to a phone number. Add a date check form so couples can ask at night.

2. Pulse Collective

Events template from the We.Inc library. Open it

Task: A club or private event host booking a DJ crew with production.

Design choice: "We run the room from soundcheck to last call" with "Check a date". "Next nights on the calendar" lists upcoming shows, and the close asks for the venue, rough headcount and what the night is for.

Limitation: No packages or prices. A wedding DJ would need a package section.

3. Spin Vancouver

Showcase build from a one-line prompt (made-up business). Open it

Task: A DJ collective that sells wedding receptions.

Design choice: The same headline with "Book Your DJ" and an intro about turning a reception into a celebration. "Next dates on the calendar" starts below.

Limitation: The hero photo is a computer screen showing websites. Use a photo of you playing a real room.

4. The Copperline Revue

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A couple comparing a DJ with a live band.

Design choice: "The band that keeps your floor full all night" with "Check our date" and "Hear the band". Priced by band size (six piece, four hour reception from $5,200) and a ceremony and cocktail duo from $950. The FAQ answers "What happens during the breaks?".

Limitation: It is a band, not a DJ; use it for the layout of sizes and breaks, not the offer.

Walkthrough: checking a date on the Grand Marquee sample

  1. The couple lands on "The DJ you meet is the DJ at your wedding" with "Check your date".
  2. "Wedding and event coverage" prices the reception, ceremony and reception, uplighting, monogram projection and extra hours.
  3. "Six DJs, and you pick yours" introduces the team.
  4. The FAQ covers meeting the DJ, MC duties, equipment failure and what secures a date.
  5. Gap to fix: add a form with date, venue and guest count, and short mix clips so couples can hear each DJ.

Copyable build brief

A website for [DJ name or company], a wedding and event DJ in [city]. Lead with "Check your date" linked to a form asking for date, venue and guest count. List reception DJ and MC, ceremony and reception, and lighting add ons with prices and hours included. Add who the DJ will be, MC duties, backup equipment, a mix or video clip, the deposit to hold a date and the area we travel to.

Questions

Will we know our DJ before the wedding?

The Grand Marquee sample says couples pick their DJ at booking and that DJ runs the planning meetings. If that is how you work, say so; if not, explain how you assign DJs.

Do you MC as well as DJ?

The sample says MC work is included and covers announcements and timing with other vendors. List what your MC work covers.

What makes this dj website work

The headline sells an outcome

The first thing a visitor reads is "The DJ you meet is the DJ at your wedding", with "Kansas City events since 2013" set above it as a small label. The line underneath does the explaining: "You are assigned a named DJ at booking and they run your planning meetings, your timeline and your night. No day of substitutions, ever." Two buttons follow, "Check your date" for people ready to act and "See packages" for people who want to look around first. The layout is a split hero, copy on one side and footage on the other, using looping stock footage instead of a static photo.

A strip of hard facts

Directly below the hero, a strip of 4 short facts does the job most dj sites leave to vague words like "trusted" or "experienced": 13 yrs (in business), 600+ (weddings played), 0 (day of DJ swaps) and 2 (planning meetings included). Each one is something a customer can check or hold the business to.

The menu of services is priced

The "Wedding and event coverage" section lists 6 packages: Reception DJ and MC ($1,450), Ceremony and reception ($1,850), Uplighting package ($450), Monogram projection ($300), Corporate event DJ (From $1,200) and Additional hour ($250). Prices run from $250 to $1,850, so a visitor can tell in seconds whether it fits the budget. A one-line note sets the terms: "Every package includes backup gear on site, a wireless mic and two planning meetings." Each item gets a sentence of its own, for example "Five hours of DJ and MC coverage with dance floor lighting and a wireless mic."

A story with checkable details

Under the heading "Six DJs, and you pick yours", the about section says: "Grand Marquee started in 2013 with one DJ and a trailer. We now have six, and the one you meet at your consultation is contractually the one at your event." It then lists 3 concrete points instead of a paragraph of values: named DJ assigned at booking, never swapped, complete backup sound system on site at every event and do not play list honored, including for guest requests.

Testimonials that say something

There are 3 reviews, each signed with a name and a context (Nicole and Trey W., wedding, Crossroads; Beth R., bride, Overland Park; Alan D., corporate client). None of them says "great service". They mention a specific moment, like "A guest requested a song on our do not play list and he politely shut it down. That is exactly what we paid for."

It answers the questions people are afraid to ask

The FAQ covers 4 questions: "Will we know our DJ before the wedding?", "Do you MC as well as DJ?", "What happens if equipment fails?" and "What do you need to secure our date?". The answers are direct. The first one reads: "Yes. You choose your DJ at booking, their name is in the contract, and they run both planning meetings with you."

Contact is a single clear ask

The page closes on "See if your date is open". It sets expectations before anyone gets in touch: "Send your date and venue and we will confirm availability, share DJ profiles and send a full quote within one business day." Hours are written out (Mon to Fri 10am to 7pm for planning, events evenings and weekends) and so is the area covered (Kansas City metro, Lawrence, St Joseph, Columbia). The phone number also sits in the header on every scroll position, so nobody has to hunt for it.

The design stays out of the way

The palette is three colors: a #faf8f5 background, #191919 text and one accent (#8b3a2f) used only for buttons and labels. Headings are set in a serif face and buttons have 0px rounded corners. The menu has 6 items (Services, Pricing, About, Reviews, FAQ and Contact), all on one page, so it scrolls instead of making people click through.

Every service and price, as the site lists it
