Web Design Agency Website Examples: What Works and How to Build Yours

Sample site built by our AI, not a customer site. Halden Studio is a made-up business; our AI wrote every section, from the headline to the 4-question FAQ. Web design studio in Austin building marketing sites, ecommerce storefronts and web apps. Fixed scope, fixed price, launched in six to ten weeks.

Five web design agency website designs, compared by what a client needs to do

A business looking for a web designer wants a rough price, to know who writes the words, and to see that you finish on time. The designs below range from a solo studio to a large build agency, and each answers those differently.

How these were picked

Four sample sites from our library, each a different size or focus of web work (studio, small firm specialist, development agency, UX research), plus one showcase build. For each we read the design and noted how projects are priced and what a client still has to ask. Checked 27 September 2026. Every design here is from the We.Inc library and is labelled as a sample or template. None is a customer site, and no entry claims results.

1. Halden Studio

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A marketing lead who needs a new site by a fixed date.

Design choice: "Launched in ten weeks, not next year" with "Start a project" and "View our work". "What we build and what it costs" prices Discovery and strategy sprint $6,000, Marketing website From $28,000 and Ecommerce storefront From $42,000. The FAQ opens with "How much does a website cost?".

Limitation: "View our work" needs real case studies behind it, and the sample's launch count and client quotes are made up. A buyer at these prices will want to see finished sites.

2. Ledger & Lamp

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A small firm owner who wants a smaller, fixed price site.

Design choice: "A site that answers the questions you get asked" with "Book a call". Packages are plain: Essential site $4,800, Firm site $9,500, Copywriting only $2,200, Care plan $95 per month. The FAQ covers "Who owns the site when it is done?".

Limitation: No online store package, and the only path is a call. Add a short project form for people who will not book a call cold.

3. Ironwood Web Works

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A company replatforming a large site or store.

Design choice: "A site your team can actually run" with "Scope a project". It prices Custom marketing website From $38,000, Ecommerce build From $65,000 and Site migration and replatform From $28,000, and the FAQ asks "Will our search rankings drop when we relaunch?".

Limitation: Priced for larger clients. A small business will leave, so say who you are for near the top.

4. Quiet Signal UX

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A web studio that sells research and testing before a redesign.

Design choice: "Find out why people abandon the workflow" with "Book a research call". It sells Discovery research From $24,000 and a Usability testing round at $11,000 per round.

Limitation: Research and product design, not websites. Borrow how it prices a discovery phase, not its services.

5. Cascade Design Co.

Showcase build from a one-line prompt (made-up business). Open it

Task: An agency owner seeing what a one-line prompt produces before writing a real brief.

Design choice: Built from "A website for a web design agencies business in Seattle": "Seattle deserves better websites." with "Start your project" and "See the work", and a menu of Work, Process, Studio, Questions and Contact.

Limitation: The promise to "drive measurable results" is generic and there are no prices above the fold. Give the AI your packages, prices and real projects.

Walkthrough: pricing a project on the Halden Studio sample

  1. The visitor lands on "Launched in ten weeks, not next year" with "Start a project" and "View our work".
  2. "What we build and what it costs" lists six project types with prices, from a $6,000 discovery sprint to a care plan from $650 per month.
  3. "Six people who all touch the work" says who does the work and that every file and login is handed over at launch.
  4. The FAQ answers "How much does a website cost?" and "Who writes the content?", then "Tell us about the project" asks for a few lines on what you need and by when.
  5. Gap to fix: the close only offers a phone number. Add a project form (budget range, deadline, pages, who writes copy) and case studies behind "View our work".

Copyable build brief

A website for [agency name], a web design studio in [city] working with [type of client]. Lead with a "Start a project" button. List discovery, marketing websites, ecommerce stores and care plans, each with a starting price and what is included. Add [number] case studies with the brief, what we built and a link to the live site, a short section on who does the work, an FAQ covering cost, who writes the content, editing after launch and keeping search rankings during a redesign, and a project form asking for budget range, deadline and page count.

Questions

How much does a website cost?

The Halden sample says marketing sites start at twenty eight thousand dollars and most land between thirty and sixty, quoted as a fixed price after a scoping call. On your site, give your own range and what moves it.

Who writes the content?

The sample offers both: the client supplies subject matter and the studio edits, or full copywriting costs extra. Say which you do and put a content deadline in your schedule.

Start from a suitable design

What makes this web design agency website work

The first line answers "why you"

The first thing a visitor reads is "Launched in ten weeks, not next year", with "Studio of six, founded 2016" set above it as a small label. The line underneath does the explaining: "Fixed scope, fixed price, a launch date in the contract. We have never missed one, and we will show you the schedule before you sign." Two buttons follow, "Start a project" for people ready to act and "View our work" for people who want to look around first. The layout is a split hero, copy on one side and footage on the other, using looping stock footage instead of a static photo.

Proof sits right under the fold

Directly below the hero, a strip of 4 short facts does the job most web design agency sites leave to vague words like "trusted" or "experienced": 9 yrs (designing sites), 6 to 10 wk (typical build), Fixed (price, quoted upfront) and 140+ (sites launched). Each one is something a customer can check or hold the business to.

Prices on the page, not "call for a quote"

The "What we build and what it costs" section lists 6 project types: Discovery and strategy sprint ($6,000), Marketing website (From $28,000), Ecommerce storefront (From $42,000), Web application interface (From $55,000), Website refresh (From $12,000) and Care plan (From $650 per mo). Prices run from $650 to $55,000, so a visitor can tell in seconds whether it fits the budget. A one-line note sets the terms: "Every project includes strategy, design, build, content migration and two training sessions for your team." Each item gets a sentence of its own, for example "Two weeks of stakeholder interviews, sitemap, messaging and wireframes you own outright."

It explains who is behind it

Under the heading "Six people who all touch the work", the about section says: "Halden is deliberately small. The people in your kickoff call are the ones designing and building the site, and there is no account layer between you and them." It then lists 4 concrete points instead of a paragraph of values: fixed price quoted before the project starts, no hourly surprises, built on Webflow, Shopify or Next.js depending on what you need, accessibility and Core Web Vitals checked before every launch and two training sessions and a recorded walkthrough included.

Reviews name the detail

There are 2 reviews, each signed with a name and a context (Reid Calloway, Manufacturing client; Nina Vasquez, Healthcare services). None of them says "great service". They mention a specific moment, like "Our marketing coordinator now updates the site herself. We used to pay someone every time we changed a headline."

The FAQ handles objections

The FAQ covers 4 questions: "How much does a website cost?", "Who writes the content?", "Can our team update the site afterward?" and "What about SEO during a redesign?". The answers are direct. The first one reads: "Marketing sites start at twenty eight thousand dollars and most land between thirty and sixty depending on page count, integrations and how much content needs writing. We quote a fixed price after a short scoping call, and that price does not move unless you add scope in writing."

The last step is obvious

The page closes on "Tell us about the project". It sets expectations before anyone gets in touch: "Send a few lines about what you need and by when. We reply within a day with a scoping call time or an honest referral elsewhere." Hours are written out (Mon to Fri 9am to 6pm Central) and so is the area covered (Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, remote nationwide). The phone number also sits in the header on every scroll position, so nobody has to hunt for it.

The design stays out of the way

The palette is three colors: a #f4f5f7 background, #101418 text and one accent (#0b7285) used only for buttons and labels. Headings are set in a sans-serif face and buttons have 8px rounded corners. The menu has 6 items (Services, Pricing, About, Reviews, FAQ and Contact), all on one page, so it scrolls instead of making people click through.

Every service and price, as the site lists it
