How to Add Tidio Chat to Your Website

Tidio gives you a JavaScript snippet under Settings, Live Chat, Installation. Paste it above the closing body tag and the widget appears. Its Free plan includes 50 billable conversations a month and 10 seats. On We.Inc, switch on the Tidio add-on and publish instead of touching code.

Tidio is popular with online shops because it pairs chat with automated flows and its Lyro assistant. The free tier is generous on seats but tight on conversations, so it fits a site with modest traffic or a trial run before paying.

Add Tidio on We.Inc, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace or plain HTML

We.Inc

In the builder, click "..." and then Add-ons.
Open the Tidio card and paste the value it asks for from your Tidio account.
Toggle Tidio on.
Publish the site to make the widget live.

WordPress

Search for Tidio under Plugins, Add New Plugin.
Install, activate and connect your Tidio account.
Load the site logged out to see the widget.

Plugins on WordPress.com require Personal, Premium, Business or Commerce.

Wix

Go to Settings, then Custom Code.
In the Body - end section, click to add code and paste the Tidio snippet.
Load it on all pages, apply and publish.

Custom Code requires a connected domain on a premium plan.

Squarespace

Open Code Injection.
Paste the Tidio snippet in the Footer field.
Save.

Available on Core, Plus and Advanced.

Plain HTML

Search your page file for </body>.
Paste the snippet just above it, on every page.
Upload and check.

Know what counts against the limit

Tidio meters billable conversations, not visitors. A quiet site may never reach 50 a month; a busy shop can pass it in days. Watch the counter in the first week and decide on a plan from real numbers.

The 50 free Lyro conversations are a one-time allowance. Treat them as a test of how the assistant answers your real questions before you rely on it.

How it works

Create a Tidio account and set up the widget's look and greeting.
Copy the code from Settings, Live Chat, Installation.
Paste it above </body> or use your platform's Tidio integration.
Open the live site and send a test message.

Tips

If the code section is hidden on the Installation screen, Tidio shows a link to open it.
To run one Tidio inbox on two sites, Tidio documents installing the same chat code on both.
Put the code in the body, not the head; some site tools that only accept head code have caused the widget to fail.
