Instagram Bio Generator for Businesses and Creators

Pick what you do, add your name, location and one detail that makes you different, then choose a call to action. The generator writes several bios from hand-written templates, formats them with line breaks for Instagram and TikTok or a single line for X and LinkedIn, and counts the characters as you edit. Character limits are as of September 2026; check the app, because they change. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to We.Inc or anyone else.

How it works

  1. Choose the platform. The limit shown is the bio length that platform allowed as of September 2026: Instagram 150, TikTok 80, X 160 and a LinkedIn headline 220.
  2. Pick your trade or creator type, such as cafe, salon, photographer or podcaster, and fill in your name, location and specialty.
  3. Add one proof detail, like "family-run since 2011" or "new episode every Tuesday". Only write things that are true.
  4. Choose a call-to-action line: book online, order ahead, shop the link, listen or DM. Turn emojis and line breaks on or off.
  5. Read the variants. Each shows a live count; bios over the limit are marked so you can shorten them. Edit any bio in place and copy it.

A good Instagram bio in four lines

Most strong small-business bios follow the same shape: what you are and where, what makes you different, a proof detail, and one call to action. For example, for a bakery: "Sourdough bakery in Leeds" / "Slow-proved loaves, baked at 5am" / "Family-run since 2011" / "Order ahead at the link below". That is about 115 characters, well inside Instagram's 150.

Creators use the same shape with a different proof: "Podcast about starting small food businesses" / "New episode every Tuesday" / "Listen at the link".

One bio, four platforms

Limits differ a lot. A 150-character Instagram bio will not fit TikTok's 80, so the generator writes shorter variants for TikTok and drops the proof line first. X allows 160 but shows the bio on one line, so parts are joined with a separator. A LinkedIn headline allows 220 characters but should read like a job title plus what you help people with.

Worked example for a plumber on LinkedIn: "Plumber in Bristol | Leaks, boilers and bathroom refits | Same-week appointments | Book at the link".

Tips

Frequently asked questions

What are the bio character limits?

As of September 2026: Instagram bio 150 characters, TikTok bio 80, X (Twitter) bio 160 and LinkedIn headline 220. Platforms change these, so check the app before you rely on them.

How are emojis counted?

The counter counts each emoji you see as one character, including flags and emojis with skin tones. Some apps count certain emojis as two, so aim to finish a few characters under the limit.

How do I add line breaks to my Instagram bio?

Copy the bio from this page with its line breaks and paste it into the bio field in the Instagram app. Line breaks usually carry over. X and LinkedIn headlines are single lines, so the generator joins parts with a separator instead.

Does this bio generator use AI?

No. It fills hand-written templates with the details you type, so it never adds a claim you did not give it.

What link should I put in my bio?

Most profiles allow one main link. Point it at your website or at a link-in-bio page that lists your booking, menu, shop and contact buttons in one place.

Is anything I type saved?

No. It runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.
