Menu Maker for Restaurants and Cafes

Add your sections and dishes with prices, short descriptions and dietary tags, choose a layout, font and colours, and see the menu update as you go. Print it or save it as a PDF, or copy clean HTML to put on your own web page. The tool does not publish anything or create an online menu for you. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type or upload is sent to We.Inc or anyone else.

How it works

  1. Enter the venue name, a short line under it (for example opening hours or a location) and the currency symbol.
  2. Add sections such as Breakfast, Mains or Drinks, then items in each: name, price, description and dietary tags.
  3. Tick dietary tags per item (V vegetarian, VG vegan, GF gluten-free, DF dairy-free, N contains nuts). The key prints at the bottom automatically when tags are used.
  4. Pick a layout (one or two columns), a font style and colours. The preview shows exactly what will print.
  5. Press Print or save as PDF for a paper menu, or Copy HTML to paste the menu into a web page.
  6. Use the brief at the bottom if you want a website with a mobile-friendly menu page.

How to lay out a menu that is easy to read

Group dishes the way people order: starters, mains, sides, desserts, drinks. Within a section, keep names short and put the description underneath in a smaller, lighter style. Align prices to the right so they are easy to find but do not lead.

A two-column layout suits long menus on one page; a single column reads better on phones and for short cafe menus.

Paper menu and web menu

Most guests now look at a menu online before they visit. A menu that is text on a web page (not a photo or PDF) loads fast on phones, can be read by screen readers and can be found by search engines.

The brief at the bottom starts a restaurant or cafe website on We.Inc with a menu page built from your sections and items. The free plan gives you up to 3 template sites on a we.inc address, with no AI credits and no custom domain; Starter at $20 a month adds AI building and custom domains.

Tips

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a QR code menu with this?

This tool does not create QR codes or host your menu. Once the menu is on a published web page, you can make a QR code that points to that page's address with our QR code generator and print it for tables or the window.

What do the dietary tags mean?

V vegetarian, VG vegan, GF gluten-free, DF dairy-free, N contains nuts, and S spicy. You choose which apply to each dish; the tool only prints what you tick and adds a key at the bottom. Confirm every tag with your kitchen.

How do I print a menu at A4 or US Letter size?

Press Print or save as PDF, then choose the paper size in the print dialog. The menu is laid out to fit the page width, and sections try not to split across pages.

What does Copy HTML give me?

A self-contained block of HTML with inline styles and structured headings for your menu, which you can paste into a website editor that accepts custom HTML. It uses your fonts and colours and works on phones.

Is my menu saved?

No. It lives in this browser tab only. Copy the HTML or save a PDF to keep a copy.
