The website builder made for arts & culture nonprofits.

An arts nonprofit website has to do three jobs at once: tell visitors what is on and when, show the artists and communities you serve, and make giving or becoming a member easy. On we.inc you describe your organization, its season and its programs, and the AI builds the exhibition, event, artist and donate pages for you. Donations and memberships run through your own Stripe account, so the money goes straight to your organization.

Pages every arts organization website needs

Try this prompt

A website for Riverside Clay Collective, a nonprofit community ceramics studio and gallery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We run rotating exhibitions, free youth pottery classes, and an artist residency. Include an exhibitions calendar, residency application info, a membership page with three levels, a donate page, our board list, and visit and accessibility details. Earthy, handmade feel.

A real arts organization site, not a template

This is Foundry Arts Collective, a arts organization business we described to the AI in a sentence. Every service, price and line of copy on it was written for that business. See the Foundry Arts Collective example site.

What makes a arts organization website work

Treat the season calendar as the heart of the site

Arts audiences come back to check what is on, so dated event listings with clear times, venues and ticket links matter more than long mission copy. Ask the AI to add each new show as its own page so it can be shared and found in search on its own.

Connect every ask to a program

Instead of a generic donate box, describe what gifts support: a residency stipend, a free school field trip, gallery lighting. Donations and recurring memberships can be collected through your own Stripe account, and you stay responsible for issuing tax receipts in the form your jurisdiction requires.

Link, don't rebuild, your ticketing

If you already sell timed tickets or reserved seats through a box office system, link to it from each event page. we.inc does not run seat maps or timed-entry ticketing, but it can host a simple RSVP or interest form that emails your staff.

Make residency and open calls easy to find

Artists search for open calls with deadlines. A dedicated page with eligibility, deadlines, selection process and a link to your application system, or a basic inquiry form, brings in stronger applicants and fewer confused emails.

What it costs

You can publish a template-based site for free on a we.inc address, with up to 3 sites and no AI help. Having the AI write and revise your pages starts at $20 a month on Starter, and pointing your own domain at the site needs a paid plan plus the domain itself, usually around $10 to $20 a year. Stripe charges its own processing fees on donations.

The free plan lets you build up to 3 sites from templates and publish them free on a we.inc address. It has no AI. Building and editing with AI starts on Starter at $20 a month with 250 credits.

Frequently asked questions

Can people donate or buy memberships on the site?

Yes. You connect your own Stripe account and the site can take one-time gifts, recurring memberships or sponsorship payments. Funds go to your organization's Stripe balance, not through we.inc.

Can the site sell timed-entry or reserved-seat tickets?

Not natively. For simple paid events you can take payment through Stripe, but for seat maps, capacity-controlled timed entry or scanning at the door, link to a dedicated ticketing tool from each event page.

Will it issue tax receipts automatically?

No. Stripe sends a payment receipt, but a proper charitable acknowledgment with the wording your tax authority requires is still your job, usually from your donor database or accounting system.

How do we keep the exhibition calendar current?

On a paid plan you can tell the AI in plain language to add, change or archive shows, for example 'move the spring exhibition to past shows and add the summer open studio on July 12.' On the free plan you edit the template yourself.

Can artists apply for our residency through the site?

The AI can build an inquiry or short application request form that emails your team. For portfolios with large files and juried scoring, link to the application platform you already use.
