Owner.com builds a restaurant's website, online ordering, app and marketing as one package. Here is what it costs, how the fees work and how it compares.
We.Inc is free to start, no credit card. AI building from $20/mo.
Owner.com suits a restaurant that wants direct online orders to replace delivery-app orders and is happy to hand the website to a done-for-you platform. Its pricing page listed Flexible at $249 a month plus a 5% restaurant fee per order, and Flat Rate at $499 a month with no restaurant fee, as of September 2026. On both, guests pay a 5% order support fee. There is no long-term contract.
For a restaurant that mainly needs a menu, hours, photos and a link to order, that is a lot of monthly cost. A plain website with your existing ordering link is far cheaper.

Pros: Describe what you want in chat and AI builds a full, editable site or app; Edit by clicking on the page, by asking in chat, or in a real code editor; Export the React and TypeScript code to GitHub, so you are never locked in; Unlimited sites on paid plans, custom domains from Starter
Cons: The free plan is templates only; AI building needs a paid plan; Newer platform with a smaller app marketplace than the big names; Store features are simpler than a dedicated ecommerce platform
A busy restaurant taking $5,000 or more a month in online orders: Owner.com's Flat Rate is built for you, and its page says as much. A restaurant with a few thousand a month in online orders: compare Flexible's per-order cost with ChowNow. A small restaurant or cafe that mostly needs a good menu page: a website builder plus the ordering link you already use costs a fraction of either. Already on Clover POS: ask about BentoBox, which is now only sold to Clover customers.
Flexible costs $249 plus 5% of online orders; Flat Rate costs $499. They are equal at $5,000 a month in online orders ($249 + $250). Below that, Flexible is cheaper; above it, Flat Rate is.
At $3,000 a month in orders, Flexible is $399 a month, $4,788 a year and $14,364 over three years. At $8,000 a month, Flexible would be $649 while Flat Rate stays at $499, or $5,988 a year and $17,964 over three years. Guests' 5% fee is on top in both cases and is paid by your customers.
ChowNow's page showed Launch as "$229/year (or $249/month)" and the other tiers the same way. We read that as a monthly price when billed yearly, which would make Launch $2,748 a year plus setup and card fees, but confirm with ChowNow before you budget.
It handles the whole direct-ordering setup for you, including moving your menu and building the site, and it includes loyalty and marketing tools that a plain website does not. The month-to-month terms lower the risk of trying it.
The price is fixed at $249 or more a month whatever your size, and guests pay a 5% fee on orders. The website is part of the platform, so leaving means rebuilding it.
We have not run this test ourselves, so here it is as a checklist for any restaurant platform, Owner.com included.
1. Ask for your real menu on the demo, including modifiers and a sold-out item. 2. Place a test order on a phone and note every fee the guest sees at checkout. 3. Check how the order reaches your kitchen or POS. 4. Ask whether the website runs on your own domain and who owns it. 5. Ask how to export customers, orders and menu if you leave.
Use the same rubric for every tool you try, Owner.com and We.Inc included. For each task give 2 points if it worked on the plan you intend to buy, 1 if it needed a higher plan, an add-on or several tries, and 0 if you could not do it. We have not published scores of our own because we have not run this test; the rubric is here so your comparison is fair.
Register your domain in your own name so you can point it elsewhere. Ask Owner.com in writing what customer and order data you can export. No long-term contract means you can leave at any time, but you would rebuild the site.
We.Inc builds restaurant websites, not ordering systems. Add an Order online button that links to your ordering tool.
Where We.Inc fits: the free plan publishes up to 3 template sites on a we.inc address, with no AI and no custom domain, and needs no credit card. AI building, where you describe the site and it is written for you, starts at $20 a month (Starter, 250 credits); Pro is $50 and Max is $99.
We.Inc makes a competing website builder, so read this with that in mind. Every price on this page comes from the vendor's own pricing page on the date shown, with a link to it. We say where the other option is the better choice, and we do not publish scores for tests we have not run.
Owner.com listed Flexible at $249 a month plus a 5% restaurant fee per order, and Flat Rate at $499 a month, as of September 2026. Guests pay a 5% order support fee on both.
For a restaurant with steady online orders that wants a done-for-you setup, it can be. For a small restaurant that only needs a menu site, it costs much more than a website builder.
No. Its pricing page says you can use it month to month and cancel at any time with no cancellation fee.
Popmenu's pricing page blocked our check on September 28, 2026. Ask Popmenu for a quote.
BentoBox is now part of Clover and lists no public prices. Its page says new customers must be Clover POS customers.
No. We.Inc makes a website builder, so we link our sources and say where Owner.com is the better choice.
