Work through 40 checks across technical setup, on-page, content, local and speed. Mark each one pass, fail or not applicable, and the tool scores every section, scores the whole site and lists the failed checks with the most important first. Each check has a one-line hint on how to test it, so you can audit a site by hand and print a clean report.

How it works
Enter the site name and, if it is for someone else, the client name.
Go through each check using the hint underneath it, and set it to pass, fail or not applicable.
Add any notes you want in the report, such as what you tested and when.
Read the section scores and the fix list. Print the page or copy the text to send as your report.
How an SEO audit is organised
An audit is easiest when it follows the way a search engine meets your site. First it must be able to reach your pages and decide which ones to keep. Then it reads what each page says, judges whether the content is worth showing and, for local searches, checks that the business details agree across the web.
The five sections here follow that order. Technical covers access and indexing, on-page covers the tags and headings on each page, content covers what the pages say, local covers business listings and speed covers how fast the site loads for a visitor.
Why weights matter
Not every problem is equal. A page that is blocked from search engines costs you more than a missing alt text on one image. Weights make the score reflect that, so the fix list starts with the problems that can stop a page from appearing at all.
The weights here are simple judgments, not a measure from search engines. If your situation is different, such as a site with no local audience, mark those checks not applicable and let the rest decide the score.
Presenting the report
A report is useful when the reader knows what to do next. Lead with the overall score, show the five section scores and then give the fix list. Add a sentence or two of your own on the one or two changes you would make first.
Avoid sending a long list without context. People act on a short, ordered plan far more than on a complete list of everything that is wrong. Keep the full list for your records and send the priorities.
Tips
Mark a check not applicable instead of passing it when it does not apply, for example local checks for an online-only business. It keeps the score honest.
Do the technical section first. If search engines cannot reach or index a page, work on titles and content will not show up.
Test on a real phone, not just a narrow desktop window.
Write the date of the audit in your notes. Sites change, and a report is only true for the day you checked.
Fix high-priority items first. Three high-weight fixes usually do more than ten small ones.
Frequently asked questions
How is the score calculated?
Each check has a weight of 1, 2 or 3. The score is the total weight of the passed checks divided by the total weight of all applicable checks, as a percentage. Checks marked not applicable are left out. If passed checks weigh 69 out of 79 applicable weight, the score is 87.3 percent.
How is the fix list ordered?
Failed checks are sorted by weight, highest first, so the items that matter most to search visibility come first. Checks with the same weight stay in the order of the checklist.
Does this test my site automatically?
No. It is a manual checklist, and you do the checking with the hint for each item. It does not fetch your website. This keeps your site details private and lets you apply your own judgment.
Is a high score a guarantee of rankings?
No. The checklist covers common basics that help a site be found and understood. Rankings also depend on competition, the quality of your content and links from other sites, which a checklist cannot measure.
Can I use it for client work?
Yes. Enter the client name, complete the checks and print the page or copy the text. Add your own notes to explain what you found and what you suggest.
