A shipping label from a carrier is proof that postage was paid, plus routing data the carrier's machines read. Only the carrier can issue that. A label you print yourself cannot replace it, no matter how it looks.

Code 128, code set B, which covers letters, numbers and common punctuation. The tool calculates the check character required by the standard and adds the start and stop patterns and quiet zones, so standard barcode scanners can read it.
Code set B only covers printable ASCII characters (space through ~). Accented letters, emoji and other symbols cannot be encoded. The tool lists any characters it cannot use so you can remove them.
