Hotel Website Examples: What Works and How to Build Yours

Sample site built by our AI, not a customer site. The Rivermark Hotel is a made-up business; our AI wrote every section, from the headline to the 4-question FAQ. The Rivermark Hotel offers 74 rooms two blocks from River Street in Savannah, with free breakfast, valet parking, a rooftop bar and no resort fees.

Five hotel website designs, compared by what a guest needs to do

A guest on a hotel site wants to see the rooms with a real nightly price, the cancellation terms, and the small things that change the bill, like parking. The designs below range from a 74 room downtown hotel to a hostel.

How these were picked

Three sample sites from our library (an independent hotel, a bed and breakfast and a hostel), one catalogue template for a small inn and one showcase build. For each we read the design and noted how rooms are priced, how booking works and what a guest cannot do. Checked 27 September 2026. Every design here is from the We.Inc library and is labelled as a sample or template. None is a customer site, and no entry claims results.

1. The Rivermark Hotel

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A guest comparing the total cost of a stay with a chain hotel.

Design choice: "Seventy four rooms, no resort fee, real front desk" with "Check rates" and "See the rooms". "What a night here actually costs" lists Queen room From $189, King with courtyard view From $229 and Two bedroom suite From $389, plus Valet parking $32 per night. The FAQ covers "What is your cancellation policy?".

Limitation: "Check rates" needs a booking engine behind it. Link the one you use so guests can see live availability.

2. Hotel Cove

Travel template from the We.Inc library. Open it

Task: A small inn with a handful of named rooms and a dining room.

Design choice: Hôtel Cove leads with "Rooms that open to the water" and "Check availability". "The rooms" names each room with its rate: The Lark $310, Marchetti $265, Marisol $385, and says rates include breakfast.

Limitation: No FAQ, so cancellation, parking and pets are unanswered. The close says to call, so add a request form too.

3. Pine Hollow Inn

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A couple booking a weekend at a small inn.

Design choice: "A quiet farmhouse, and breakfast you sit down for" with "Check availability". Rooms are priced one by one (Meadow room, queen From $175, Hollow room, king with fireplace From $235) and the FAQ answers "Is there a minimum stay?".

Limitation: Six rooms and one booking path. Fine for an inn, too thin for a hotel with room types and group rates.

4. Anchor Line Hostel

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A traveller on a budget choosing between a dorm bed and a private room.

Design choice: "A bed, a locker, and people to eat with" with "Check dates". Beds and rooms are priced side by side (Mixed dorm, 8 beds From $44, Private double From $109) and extras like Laundry $5 per load are listed.

Limitation: Built for hostel guests. Borrow its listing of extras and costs, not its room types.

5. The Minneapolis Rest

Showcase build from a one-line prompt (made-up business). Open it

Task: An owner seeing what a one-line prompt produces before writing a real brief.

Design choice: Built from "A website for a bed and breakfasts business in Minneapolis": "Premium. Accessible." with "Discover" and "Book your stay", and a menu that includes Rates and FAQ.

Limitation: The headline says nothing about the place, and the text is hard to read over the photo. Give the AI your rooms, rates and policies.

Walkthrough: pricing a stay on The Rivermark Hotel sample

  1. The guest lands on "Seventy four rooms, no resort fee, real front desk" with "Check rates" and "See the rooms".
  2. "What a night here actually costs" shows each room type with a starting weeknight rate, then parking, breakfast and the meeting room.
  3. "Locally owned since the building reopened in 2008" lists what is not charged: no resort fee, no early check in fee, no wifi charge.
  4. The FAQ answers "What is your cancellation policy?" and "Is parking a problem downtown?", then "Book direct and skip the fees" gives the front desk number.
  5. Gap to fix: there is no way to see dates online. Link your booking engine from "Check rates" and every room card.

Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

The Rivermark sample allows free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival, with longer notice and a deposit on its busiest weeks. Write yours with your real terms and the dates they change.

Is parking a problem downtown?

The sample says street parking is metered and hard to find, then gives its valet price. Say where guests park, what it costs and whether they can come and go.

What makes this hotel website work

The headline sells an outcome

The first thing a visitor reads is "Seventy four rooms, no resort fee, real front desk", with "Two blocks from River Street" set above it as a small label. The line underneath does the explaining: "An independent hotel in a restored 1912 cotton warehouse, walking distance to Forsyth Park and the waterfront. Breakfast and wifi are included in the rate." Two buttons follow, "Check rates" for people ready to act and "See the rooms" for people who want to look around first. The layout is a split hero, copy on one side and footage on the other, using looping stock footage instead of a static photo.

A strip of hard facts

Directly below the hero, a strip of 4 short facts does the job most hotel sites leave to vague words like "trusted" or "experienced": 74 (guest rooms), $0 (resort fees), 24 hr (staffed front desk) and 1912 (warehouse building). Each one is something a customer can check or hold the business to.

The menu of services is priced

The "What a night here actually costs" section lists 6 rooms and rates: Queen room (From $189), King with courtyard view (From $229), Two bedroom suite (From $389), Valet parking ($32 per night), Hot breakfast (Included) and Meeting room, seats 40 (From $450 per day). Prices run from $32 to $450, so a visitor can tell in seconds whether it fits the budget. A one-line note sets the terms: "Rates vary by season. The figures below are typical weeknight rates outside March and October." Each item gets a sentence of its own, for example "310 square feet with original brick, blackout curtains and a walk in shower."

A story with checkable details

Under the heading "Locally owned since the building reopened in 2008", the about section says: "The Rivermark is owned by two Savannah families who bought the warehouse in 2005 and spent three years restoring it. We are not part of a chain, which means the general manager is on property most days and can actually fix your problem." It then lists 3 concrete points instead of a paragraph of values: no resort fee, no early check in fee, no wifi charge, pet friendly with a flat $50 fee per stay, not per night and rooftop bar open to guests until midnight, Thursday through Sunday.

Testimonials that say something

There are 3 reviews, each signed with a name and a context (Doug W., Three night stay, April; Sylvia P., Weekend stay; Nate C., Anniversary trip). None of them says "great service". They mention a specific moment, like "Walked to dinner, to Forsyth Park and to the riverfront without moving the car once."

It answers the questions people are afraid to ask

The FAQ covers 4 questions: "What is your cancellation policy?", "Is parking a problem downtown?", "Can we check in early?" and "Are you within walking distance of River Street?". The answers are direct. The first one reads: "Cancel free up to 48 hours before arrival on standard rates. During St."

Contact is a single clear ask

The page closes on "Book direct and skip the fees". It sets expectations before anyone gets in touch: "Call the front desk any hour and you will reach someone in the building, not a call center. Direct bookings get the best available rate." Hours are written out (Front desk staffed 24 hours, check in 3pm, check out 11am) and so is the area covered (Historic District, two blocks from River Street). The phone number also sits in the header on every scroll position, so nobody has to hunt for it.

The design stays out of the way

The palette is three colors: a #f5f5ec background, #1d2a17 text and one accent (#3f6b2b) used only for buttons and labels. Headings are set in a serif face and buttons have 4px rounded corners. The menu has 6 items (Services, Pricing, About, Reviews, FAQ and Contact), all on one page, so it scrolls instead of making people click through.

Every service and price, as the site lists it
