Pros and cons

Kajabi

Best for: Established course creators and coaches who want everything in one polished tool

Price: Basic $143, Growth $199, Pro $399 a month billed yearly; $179, $249, $499 monthly (as of September 2026)

Pros: Courses, memberships, email, funnels and landing pages in one place; Unlimited landing pages and marketing emails; Payments built in

Cons: High fixed monthly cost; Basic caps you at 5 products and 2,500 contacts; Extra fee if you use a third-party processor

We.Inc

Best for: People who want to describe a site or web app in plain English and have AI build it

Price: Free plan: up to 3 template sites on a we.inc address, no AI. AI building from $20/mo (Starter, 250 credits). Pro $50/mo, Max $99/mo.

Pros: Describe what you want in chat and AI builds a full, editable site or app; Edit by clicking on the page, by asking in chat, or in a real code editor; Export the React and TypeScript code to GitHub, so you are never locked in; Unlimited sites on paid plans, custom domains from Starter

Cons: The free plan is templates only; AI building needs a paid plan; Newer platform with a smaller app marketplace than the big names; Store features are simpler than a dedicated ecommerce platform

Cost per student

Take a $200 course. At 30 students a month ($6,000 in sales) on Basic billed yearly: plan $143 + Kajabi Payments ($174 + $9) = $326 a month, or $10.87 per student. On Growth: $199 + $168 + $9 = $376, or $12.53 per student.

At 100 students a month ($20,000): Basic is $143 + $580 + $30 = $753, or $7.53 per student; Growth is $199 + $560 + $30 = $789, or $7.89. The lower card rate on Growth never quite covers its higher plan price at this size, so move to Growth for its product and contact limits, not to save on fees.

Three-year cost

Plan fees billed yearly, assuming no price change: Basic $5,148, Growth $7,164, Pro $14,364. Monthly: $6,444, $8,964 and $17,964. Payment fees are extra.

Verdict: is Kajabi worth it?

Kajabi is worth it when your courses or memberships already sell steadily and you value having email, funnels, courses and payments in one polished place. At 30 students a month the platform is about $11 per student; the fixed cost matters less as you grow.

It is hard to justify before you have proven demand: $1,716 a year is a lot to spend while testing a first course. Systeme.io's free and $17 plans cover a first course and list for far less, and Stan Store suits small digital products sold from a bio.

Ownership and moving away

Keep your course videos and files in your own storage and export your contacts regularly. Pages, funnels and email automations are built in Kajabi and would need rebuilding elsewhere.

Where We.Inc fits, and where it does not

We.Inc does not host courses, memberships or student logins, and has no email marketing, so it is not a Kajabi replacement. It can build the public sales site for a course, taking payments through your own Stripe, with the course itself on a dedicated course host.

Where We.Inc fits: the free plan publishes up to 3 template sites on a we.inc address, with no AI and no custom domain, and needs no credit card. AI building, where you describe the site and it is written for you, starts at $20 a month (Starter, 250 credits); Pro is $50 and Max is $99.

Who wrote this and how

We.Inc makes a competing website builder, so read this with that in mind. Every price on this page comes from the vendor's own pricing page on the date shown, with a link to it. We say where the other option is the better choice, and we do not publish scores for tests we have not run.
