Most marketplaces charge some mix of: a percentage selling fee on the sale (sometimes including shipping), a payment processing fee (a percentage plus a fixed amount per order), optional promotion or boost fees, and in some cases listing fees. Some marketplaces charge the buyer a fee instead of the seller. Each tab shows the fields for the structure you are likely to see and a note on what to check, but the numbers come from you.
Say a jacket sells for $60 with $8 shipping charged to the buyer, you pay $8 for the label, and the jacket cost you $15. You enter a 10% selling fee on price plus shipping and payment processing of 3% plus $0.30 (example rates only; check your marketplace).
Selling fee is $6.80, processing is $2.34, so payout is $68 - $9.14 = $58.86. Profit after the label and item cost is $58.86 - $8 - $15 = $35.86, a 60% margin on the $60 price.
A marketplace brings buyers who are already searching, and you pay for that with fees on every sale. Your own site keeps fees to card processing plus a monthly plan, but you have to bring visitors yourself. The comparison column shows the fee side of that trade so you can see how much a marketplace sale costs you in fees compared with the same sale on your own site.

Payout = what the buyer pays you (item price plus shipping charged) minus the selling fee, fixed fees, payment processing and promotion fees. Profit then subtracts your item cost and the shipping you paid.
It solves the price at which profit after all percentage and fixed fees equals your target, using the rates you entered. If percentage fees add up to 100% or more, no price works and it tells you so.
The same sale on your own website: card processing percent and fixed fee, plus your monthly website plan cost divided by orders per month. You enter all three. It does not include advertising, which you will usually need to bring buyers to your own site.
