Dental Website Design Examples: What Works and How to Build Yours

Six dental website designs taken apart: the new-patient exam, cost and insurance, and emergency visits, where each falls short, and a brief to build yours.

Six dental website designs, compared by what a patient needs to do

A patient on a dental site usually wants to book a first exam, find out what it will cost with or without insurance, or get seen today because something hurts. Good dental web design makes each of those one scroll away. These designs handle them differently.

How these were picked

Five sample sites from our library, each a different kind of dental practice (family general dentistry, pediatric, root canal specialist, denture clinic, independent hygiene), plus one catalogue template. We dropped a periodontist sample and a second dental template that solve the same problems the same way. For each we read the page and noted the first button, how prices and insurance appear and what a patient cannot do. Checked 27 September 2026. Every design here is from the We.Inc library and is labelled as a sample or template. None is a customer site, and no entry claims results.

1. Willow Creek Family Dentistry

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A family choosing a general dentist for the long term.

Design choice: "A dentist your whole family can keep for twenty years." with "See the $99 new patient visit" as the first button, a list of accepted plans under "We are in network with most Oregon PPO plans." and a same-day emergency section: "Tooth pain today? Call before 3:00 pm and we will see you today."

Limitation: Every path ends in a phone call. There is no appointment request form for someone reading after hours.

2. Bright Harbor Pediatric Dentistry

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A parent with an anxious or sensory sensitive child.

Design choice: "A dental visit your child will actually sit through" and a service called "Special needs and sensory visits" at standard rates. The FAQ answers "How do you handle a scared child?".

Limitation: It mentions online new patient forms but the sample has no link to them. You need to point that to your own forms tool.

3. Ridgeline Endodontics

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A patient in pain, or a dentist referring one.

Design choice: "Most patients say it felt like a filling" with two buttons, "Request a visit" and "Refer a patient", and root canal prices by tooth (front tooth from $850, molar from $1,250).

Limitation: The "Refer a patient" button has no referral form behind it in the sample. Add one that emails the office.

4. Lakeside Denture Centre

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: An older patient with a broken denture who needs it back fast.

Design choice: "Repairs done here, usually the same day" with "Book a free consult" and prices per arch ($1,395 standard complete denture).

Limitation: No emergency or after-hours note for a denture that breaks on a weekend, which the sample's own reviews describe.

5. Clear Arch Dental Hygiene

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: An uninsured adult who just wants a cleaning at a known price.

Design choice: "A cleaning appointment you can book directly" with "Book a cleaning" and "Preventive care, priced before you sit down" (adult cleaning and exam $135).

Limitation: Hygiene only; anything restorative is referred out, so it does not fit a full dental practice.

6. Brightwell Dental

Healthcare template from the We.Inc library. Open it

Task: A cosmetic or general practice that wants a bright, image-led layout.

Design choice: A catalogue template with "Same-day emergencies", "Transparent pricing" and "Your visit in three simple steps", plus a "Most insurance accepted, flexible plans available" section.

Limitation: The "Book online" link needs pointing at your own scheduling tool, and the review figures and patient quotes belong to a made-up practice.

Walkthrough: booking a new-patient exam on the Willow Creek sample

  1. The patient lands on "A dentist your whole family can keep for twenty years." with "Bend, Oregon · Accepting new patients" above it.
  2. "See the $99 new patient visit" jumps to "Exam, x-rays and cleaning", which lists what is included and who it is for (patients without insurance, ages 12 and up).
  3. Insured patients scroll to "We are in network with most Oregon PPO plans." and the list of plans, then the "Willow Creek Care Plan" for those with no insurance.
  4. To book, the patient uses the phone number in the header; the same number appears in the emergency section.
  5. Gap to fix: add an appointment request form (name, phone, new or existing patient, preferred times) that emails the front desk, or link the scheduling tool you already use.

Copyable build brief

A website for [practice name], a [general / pediatric / specialist] dental practice in [city]. Lead with who we serve, not our name. Show a new patient offer or exam fee, our services with fees before insurance, and the insurance plans we are in network with. Add an emergency section with our same-day policy and phone number, an appointment request form that emails the front desk (or a link to [our scheduling tool]), bios for each dentist and hygienist, an FAQ on cost, insurance and what happens at the first visit, and our hours, address and parking.

Questions

What should a dental website show first?

Whether you take new patients, what a first visit costs and how to book it. The Willow Creek sample puts all three in the first screen and a same-day emergency line right after.

Can patients book online?

Your site can carry a request form that emails the front desk, or a button linking to the scheduling tool you already use. We.Inc does not run a booking calendar itself.
