Pros and cons

Bluehost

Best for: WordPress sites on a budget, if you are happy to prepay three years

Price: From $3.99 a month on a 36-month term, renewing at $9.99; .com renews at $23.99 a year; checked Oct 28, 2026

Pros: Low first-term price; Free domain for the first year and free SSL; Even Starter allows 10 sites

Cons: Prices shown need a 36-month term; Renewals cost about 1.5 to 2.5 times the intro price; .com renewal at $23.99 is higher than at low-cost registrars

We.Inc

Best for: People who want to describe a site or web app in plain English and have AI build it

Price: Free plan: up to 3 template sites on a we.inc address, no AI. AI building from $20/mo (Starter, 250 credits). Pro $50/mo, Max $99/mo.

Pros: Describe what you want in chat and AI builds a full, editable site or app; Edit by clicking on the page, by asking in chat, or in a real code editor; Export the React and TypeScript code to GitHub, so you are never locked in; Unlimited sites on paid plans, custom domains from Starter

Cons: The free plan is templates only; AI building needs a paid plan; Newer platform with a smaller app marketplace than the big names; Store features are simpler than a dedicated ecommerce platform

What Bluehost costs over three and six years

Plan fees only, at the prices shown on October 28, 2026. Starter is $143.64 for the first 36 months; another 36 months at $9.99 is $359.64, so six years total $503.28. Business is $251.64 then $503.64 ($755.28 over six years). eCommerce Essentials is $539.64 then $791.64 ($1,331.28).

Add the domain from year two: at $23.99 a year that is $119.95 over the following five years.

Domain, privacy and email extras

Bluehost's domains page listed a .com at $12.99 to register, $23.99 to renew and $12.99 to transfer in. Privacy + Protection was listed at $15.00; the page did not say whether that is per year. The Business plan includes domain privacy free for the first year; Starter does not.

Email is extra: the hosting page offered a one-month Pro Email trial that renews at $2.50 a month. Moving the domain to a registrar with a lower renewal price is the easiest saving.

Which plan to choose

Starter covers a single WordPress site with room for side projects. Business is worth it for the free first-year privacy and the larger storage if you run several sites. eCommerce Essentials is the plan for WooCommerce stores. Bluehost lists a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Where We.Inc fits: the free plan publishes up to 3 template sites on a we.inc address, with no AI and no custom domain, and needs no credit card. AI building, where you describe the site and it is written for you, starts at $20 a month (Starter, 250 credits); Pro is $50 and Max is $99.

Who wrote this and how

We.Inc makes a competing website builder, so read this with that in mind. Every price on this page comes from the vendor's own pricing page on the date shown, with a link to it. We say where the other option is the better choice, and we do not publish scores for tests we have not run.
