Emergent pricing: plans, credits and what a build costs

Emergent (emergent.sh) charges for credits, and the step from its $20 plan to its $200 plan is large. Here is what each plan gives you and how far the credits go.

We.Inc is free to start, no credit card. AI building from $20/mo.

How much does Emergent cost?

Emergent has a free plan with 10 credits a month. Standard is $20 a month, or $17 a month on annual billing, for 100 credits. Pro is $200 a month, or $167 a month on annual billing, for 750 credits. Business and Enterprise are priced on request. We read these figures on emergent.sh/pricing on October 27, 2026.

Credits are spent on building, so the plan you need depends on how much you ask the agent to do, not on how many apps you own.

Pros and cons

Emergent

Best for: Makers who want web and mobile apps built from one chat

Price: Free (10 credits a month); Standard $20 a month ($17 billed annually, 100 credits); Pro $200 a month ($167 billed annually, 750 credits); checked Oct 27, 2026

Pros: Web and mobile apps from the Standard plan; GitHub integration from $20 a month; Pro gives deep control over the agent

Cons: Big jump from $20 to $200 with nothing in between; 10 free credits is enough to try it, not to finish an app; Emergent does not publish a fixed credit cost per task

We.Inc

Best for: Business owners who want a finished website rather than an app project

Price: Free plan: up to 3 template sites on a we.inc address, no AI. AI building from $20/mo (Starter, 250 credits). Pro $50/mo, Max $99/mo.

Pros: Describe what you want in chat and AI builds a full, editable site or app; Edit by clicking on the page, by asking in chat, or in a real code editor; Export the React and TypeScript code to GitHub, so you are never locked in; Unlimited sites on paid plans, custom domains from Starter

Cons: The free plan is templates only; AI building needs a paid plan; Newer platform with a smaller app marketplace than the big names; Store features are simpler than a dedicated ecommerce platform

What one Emergent credit buys

Emergent's pricing page does not say how much work one credit pays for, and it does not list a per-task rate. Each message to the agent uses credits according to how much work it does, so a short text fix costs less than adding logins or payments.

Two figures you will see in reviews are not on the pricing page, so treat them as unconfirmed: that extra credits cost about $0.20 each (for example $20 for 100), and that keeping a deployed app live uses credits each month (often quoted as 50 credits per app). Check both in your Emergent dashboard before you plan a budget around them.

Worked example: what a typical build might cost (estimate)

This is our estimate, not a figure from Emergent. Assumption: user reviews of Emergent report roughly 50 to 100 or more credits for a simple app, 25 to 40 for adding sign-in and 35 to 60 for adding Stripe payments. We have not measured these ourselves.

On those assumptions, a simple app with sign-in and payments would use about 110 to 200 credits. That is more than Standard's 100 monthly credits, so expect either two months of Standard ($40, or $34 on annual billing) or Standard plus extra credits. Pro's 750 credits would cover several such builds in a month, but at $200 it only pays off if you build often. If hosting does cost credits each month, budget for that on top.

Emergent free plan limits

The free plan gives 10 credits a month and, according to the pricing page, the core platform features, web and mobile building, access to Emergent's models and one-click LLM integration. Private project hosting and the GitHub integration are listed from Standard, not Free.

Ten credits is enough to see how the agent works on a small idea. It is unlikely to be enough for a finished app with accounts and payments, going by the review figures above.

Who each Emergent plan suits

Free: trying the agent before paying. Standard: one person building a first app or a small tool, who wants private hosting and the code in GitHub; annual billing at $17 a month suits you only if you are sure you will keep using it. Pro: frequent builders who use most of 750 credits a month or need custom agents, system prompt editing and the 1M context window. Business and Enterprise: teams that need SSO, role-based access, audit logs or their own cloud; ask Emergent for a quote.

Cheaper options and alternatives

If $200 is too much but 100 credits is too few, compare credit allowances rather than headline prices. Lovable's Pro plan starts at $25 a month for 100 credits and its credit tiers can be raised in steps; our Emergent vs Lovable comparison sets the two side by side.

If what you need is a business website rather than an app, an app builder is usually more than you need.

Where We.Inc fits: the free plan publishes up to 3 template sites on a we.inc address, with no AI and no custom domain, and needs no credit card. AI building, where you describe the site and it is written for you, starts at $20 a month (Starter, 250 credits); Pro is $50 and Max is $99.

Who wrote this and how

We.Inc makes a competing website builder, so read this with that in mind. Every price on this page comes from the vendor's own pricing page on the date shown, with a link to it. We say where the other option is the better choice, and we do not publish scores for tests we have not run.
