Three coaching website designs, compared by what a new client needs to do

Someone considering a coach wants to know how long it takes, what it costs, and whether they can try one session before committing. The three designs below come from a life coach, a career coach and a leadership coach.

How these were picked

Our library has three sample sites that fit this trade. We left out a business coach sample and a showcase build that is written for companies rather than individuals. For each design we read the live sample and noted the first button, how packages are priced and what a client still cannot do. Checked 27 September 2026. Every design here is from the We.Inc library and is labelled as a sample or template. None is a customer site, and no entry claims results.

1. Clear Harbor Coaching

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: Someone stuck on a career or life decision who wants structure.

Design choice: "Decide what is next, then actually do it" with "Book a discovery call". "Ways we can work" prices every option: Twelve week career transition $2,400, Leadership coaching, 6 months $4,200, Single strategy session $275, and a free Discovery call. The FAQ answers "What is the difference between coaching and therapy?".

Limitation: The discovery call is booked by phone. Link a scheduling tool so people can pick a time themselves.

2. Trailhead Career Coaching

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A job seeker who wants to buy one piece of help at a time.

Design choice: "Stop applying. Start getting called back." with "Book a session". Single services are priced (Career clarity session $225, Resume rewrite $525, Interview preparation $295/session) next to a Full job search package ($1,950). The FAQ asks "Can you guarantee I get a job?".

Limitation: Built for job searches only. A life coach with broader work would need to rewrite the offers and the headline.

3. Northcott Leadership

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A manager, or their employer, buying a longer engagement.

Design choice: "The job changed. The skills that got you here did not." with "Book a chemistry call". Engagements are priced (Executive coaching engagement $18,000 for 6 months, New leader transition $12,000 for 90 days) and the FAQ answers "Who sees what I say in sessions?" and "What if my company will not pay for it?".

Limitation: No single session or low-cost way in. Someone paying for themselves has nothing to try first.

Walkthrough: choosing a package on the Clear Harbor sample

  1. The visitor lands on "Decide what is next, then actually do it" with "Book a discovery call" and "How coaching works".
  2. "Ways we can work" says every engagement starts with a free 30 minute discovery call and no package is sold on it, then lists each option with a price.
  3. "Fifteen years managing people, eight coaching them" covers the credential and says when therapy is the better tool.
  4. The FAQ answers coaching versus therapy, how long change takes, clients outside Minnesota and stopping partway, then "Start with a call" gives hours.
  5. Gap to fix: link a scheduling tool for the discovery call and add a short intake form (what you want to change, by when).

Add an about section with my background and credential, an FAQ covering coaching versus therapy, how long it takes, working remotely and stopping partway, and a short intake form.

Questions

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

The Clear Harbor sample explains coaching as forward-looking work and says it will refer you to a therapist when that fits better. Write yours in your own words, and say what you do when a client needs something else.

How long before I see something change?

The sample explains why its program is twelve weeks. On your site, describe how your sessions are structured rather than promising results by a date.

What makes this life coach website work

It leads with a promise, not a job title

The first thing a visitor reads is "Decide what is next, then actually do it", with "Coaching since 2017" set above it as a small label. The line underneath does the explaining: "Twelve week engagements for people at a crossroads: a career change, a first leadership role, or a job that has quietly stopped fitting. Structured, with homework between sessions." Two buttons follow, "Book a discovery call" for people ready to act and "How coaching works" for people who want to look around first. The layout is a banded hero, a wide strip of footage under a short headline block, using looping stock footage instead of a static photo.

Numbers before adjectives

Directly below the hero, a strip of 4 short facts does the job most life coach sites leave to vague words like "trusted" or "experienced": 12 wks (standard engagement), 8 yrs (coaching professionally), ICF (credentialed coach) and 200+ (clients coached). Each one is something a customer can check or hold the business to.

Every service has a price

The "Ways we can work" section lists 6 engagements: Twelve week career transition ($2,400), Leadership coaching, 6 months ($4,200), Single strategy session ($275), Resume and narrative session ($395), Team workshop, half day (From $2,800) and Discovery call (Free). Prices run from $275 to $4,200, so a visitor can tell in seconds whether it fits the budget. A one-line note sets the terms: "Every engagement starts with a free 30 minute discovery call. No package is sold on that call." Each item gets a sentence of its own, for example "Twelve sessions, values and skills work, search strategy, accountability."

The about section is specific

Under the heading "Fifteen years managing people, eight coaching them", the about section says: "I spent fifteen years in operations leadership, including six managing teams through two acquisitions, before training as a coach in 2017. I hold an ICF credential and I work with a defined structure rather than open-ended conversation, because most people who come to me have already talked it to death." It then lists 3 concrete points instead of a paragraph of values: iCF credentialed with ongoing supervision, written structure and homework between every session and i will say when coaching is the wrong tool and suggest therapy instead.

Reviews with a who and a where

There are 3 reviews, each signed with a name and a context (Nadine F., Twelve week engagement; Wes L., Career transition; Iman B., Leadership coaching). None of them says "great service". They mention a specific moment, like "The homework was the part that worked. Talking alone would not have gotten me there."

Questions a buyer asks before calling

The FAQ covers 4 questions: "What is the difference between coaching and therapy?", "How long before I see something change?", "Do you work with people outside Minnesota?" and "What if I need to stop partway through?". The answers are direct. The first one reads: "Coaching is forward-looking work on goals, decisions and behavior, with a client who is functioning and wants to move. Therapy treats mental health concerns and processes the past."

It tells people what happens next

The page closes on "Start with a call". It sets expectations before anyone gets in touch: "The discovery call is free and involves no pitch. Bring the question you keep circling back to." Hours are written out (Mon to Thu 8am to 6pm Central, sessions by appointment) and so is the area covered (Minneapolis and St. Paul in person, clients across the US by video). The phone number also sits in the header on every scroll position, so nobody has to hunt for it.

The design stays out of the way

The palette is three colors: a #f6f5f1 background, #1c2333 text and one accent (#1e4b8f) used only for buttons and labels. Headings are set in a serif face and buttons have 8px rounded corners. The menu has 6 items (Services, Pricing, About, Reviews, FAQ and Contact), all on one page, so it scrolls instead of making people click through.

Every service and price, as the site lists it
