Five real estate website designs, compared by what a seller or buyer needs to do

Most people on an agent's site are either thinking about selling and want a value, or buying and want to know how the agent works and what it costs them. The designs below cover a solo agent, a small brokerage, a luxury firm, a team and a listings-led template.

How these were picked

Four sample sites from our library and one catalogue template that is built for an agent. We left out suggested templates made for other trades and one with no real estate content. For each we read the live design and noted the first button, how commission is explained and what a visitor still cannot do. Checked 27 September 2026. Every design here is from the We.Inc library and is labelled as a sample or template. None is a customer site, and no entry claims results.

1. Marisol Vega Real Estate

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A homeowner deciding whether to sell and with whom.

Design choice: "Priced right the first week, not the fourth" with "Get home value" first. "Sellers, buyers and everyone in between" shows Listing representation From 2.5%, Buyer representation Free to buyers and a Free home valuation, and the FAQ answers "How is your commission structured?" and "What should I fix before listing?".

Limitation: "See listings" is a button, but the sample has no listings section. Link your listing feed or add current homes.

2. Kessendale Realty Group

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: A seller who wants to understand how the price will be set.

Design choice: "The right price beats the highest listing pitch" with "Get a home valuation". The FAQ answers "How do you decide on a listing price?" and "What are the commission costs?", and an Investment property analysis is priced From $250.

Limitation: "Search listings" needs a real listing search connected. The sample shows the button only.

3. Ansel Reeve Estates

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: An owner of a high-value home who wants a private sale.

Design choice: "Estates sold quietly, and sold correctly" with "Request a valuation" and "Private inquiries". Services include Off market and pocket listings, and the FAQ answers "Can you sell my property without listing it publicly?" and "How do you qualify buyers before a showing?".

Limitation: Written for estates only. An agent with a wider range of homes would lose buyers who feel it is not for them.

4. The Calloway Group

Sample site built by our AI (made-up business). Open it

Task: Someone who needs to buy and sell at the same time.

Design choice: "Five agents means someone is always free" with "Meet the team" and "Home value report". A Buy before you sell strategy service, and the FAQ answers "Will I get passed around between agents?" and "Does a team cost more than a solo agent?".

Limitation: No commission or fee detail in the services section. Say how you charge, as the solo agent sample does.

5. Keystone Realty

Business template from the We.Inc library. Open it

Task: An agent whose current listings are the main draw.

Design choice: Keystone Realty opens on "The right address changes everything." with "View Listings", then "Currently represented" shows three homes with price, beds and baths, and "Request a Private Valuation" closes the page.

Limitation: The listings and the career sales figure are placeholders. You add your own homes, your commission terms and an FAQ.

Walkthrough: asking for a home value on the Marisol Vega sample

  1. The seller lands on "Priced right the first week, not the fourth" with "Get home value" and "See listings".
  2. "Sellers, buyers and everyone in between" says commission is discussed at the first meeting, then shows Listing representation From 2.5% and a Free home valuation with written comparables.
  3. "Five neighborhoods, learned street by street" explains the area the agent covers and what the agent pays for on each listing.
  4. The FAQ answers what to fix before listing, commission, time on market and buyers under $500,000, then "Let us talk about your home" gives hours and neighbourhoods.
  5. Gap to fix: add a valuation request form (address, timeline, reason for selling) and a real listings section behind "See listings".

Copyable build brief

A website for [agent name], a real estate agent in [city] covering [neighbourhoods]. Lead with a "Get your home value" button. List services for sellers, buyers and relocation, and say how commission works. Add current listings, a section on the neighbourhoods I know, an FAQ covering what to fix before listing, commission, time on market and first-time buyers, and a valuation request form asking address, timeline and reason for selling.

Questions

What should I fix before listing?

The Marisol Vega sample says systems that show up on inspection matter more than cosmetic remodels, and ranks each item in a prep plan. On your site, give your own advice for your market.

How is your commission structured?

The sample states a starting percentage and what comes out of the agent's side. Write yours with your real terms and any rules that apply where you work.

What makes this real estate agent website work

It leads with a promise, not a job title

The first thing a visitor reads is "Priced right the first week, not the fourth", with "Selling East Sac since 2014" set above it as a small label. The line underneath does the explaining: "I list around twenty homes a year in the same five neighborhoods, which is why my pricing holds. Staging, photography and the pre-listing inspection are included." Two buttons follow, "Get home value" for people ready to act and "See listings" for people who want to look around first. The layout is a full-bleed cinematic hero, the headline laid over darkened footage, using looping stock footage instead of a static photo.

Numbers before adjectives

Directly below the hero, a strip of 4 short facts does the job most real estate agent sites leave to vague words like "trusted" or "experienced": 12 yrs (licensed in California), 218 (homes closed), 14 days (median days on market) and 99.4% (of list price, 2025). Each one is something a customer can check or hold the business to.

Every service has a price

The "Sellers, buyers and everyone in between" section lists 6 how I help: Listing representation (From 2.5%), Buyer representation (Free to buyers), Free home valuation (Free), Pre-listing prep plan (Included), Professional staging (Included) and Relocation consult (Free). A one-line note sets the terms: "Commission is discussed openly at our first meeting, before you sign anything." Each item gets a sentence of its own, for example "Pricing, prep, staging, photography and negotiation through close of escrow."

The about section is specific

Under the heading "Five neighborhoods, learned street by street", the about section says: "I grew up off 51st and have sold in East Sacramento since 2014. Staying inside a small area is a deliberate choice: I know which blocks have foundation history, which streets flood in February, and what a 1940s bungalow with original wiring actually appraises for." It then lists 3 concrete points instead of a paragraph of values: staging, photography and pre-listing inspection paid by me, you work with me directly from first showing to closing and written pricing analysis with the comparables shown, not just a number.

Reviews with a who and a where

There are 3 reviews, each signed with a name and a context (Grace N., seller, Curtis Park; Kyle and Dev P., first time buyers; Lena K., relocation from Denver). None of them says "great service". They mention a specific moment, like "She told me not to redo the kitchen and to fix the sewer line instead. The house sold in nine days over asking."

Questions a buyer asks before calling

The FAQ covers 4 questions: "What should I fix before listing?", "How is your commission structured?", "How long will my home take to sell?" and "Do you work with buyers under $500,000?". The answers are direct. The first one reads: "Usually less than people expect. Systems that show up on an inspection, sewer, roof and electrical, are worth addressing because buyers discount heavily for the unknown."

It tells people what happens next

The page closes on "Let us talk about your home". It sets expectations before anyone gets in touch: "Request a valuation or just ask a question. I answer my own phone and I will tell you honestly whether now is the right time to sell." Hours are written out (Mon to Sat 8am to 7pm, Sun by appointment) and so is the area covered (East Sacramento, Land Park, Curtis Park, Tahoe Park, Elmhurst). The phone number also sits in the header on every scroll position, so nobody has to hunt for it.

The design stays out of the way

The palette is three colors: a #f5f6f8 background, #111827 text and one accent (#1d4ed8) used only for buttons and labels. Headings are set in a sans-serif face and buttons have 6px rounded corners. The menu has 6 items (Services, Pricing, About, Reviews, FAQ and Contact), all on one page, so it scrolls instead of making people click through.

Every service and price, as the site lists it
